On Oct. 22, there will be more than a matchup with the Detroit Lions going on for the Baltimore Ravens.
Team legend Terrell Suggs will be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor on that gameday, as well.
Suggs played in 229 games over 16 years with the franchise and was a seven-time Pro Bowler recipient.
In 2011, Suggs was Defensive Player of the Year when he recorded a ridiculous season. The former Arizona State player produced 14 sacks, seven forced fumbles, two interceptions, and 70 tackles that season. Overall, Suggs made two All-Pro teams and was Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003.
For his career, Suggs was able to bring down the quarterback 139 times. Out of all of those sacks, 132.5 of them came with the Ravens, and that is their sack record to date. Suggs last played in the 2019 season with the Kansas City Chiefs for two games late in the season. The soon-to-be Ring of Honor member played in 13 games with the Arizona Cardinals that same season.
The two-time Super Bowl champion will soon be etched into the Ravens’ history books forever, and it is certainly a deserving honor for a great player who tormented the AFC North for so long.
Ravens’ Jadeveon Clowney’s contract includes a lot of motivation
This should be good motivation for the new Ravens’ pass rusher.
