Lamar Jackson’s standout play this past season wowed a number of college wideouts, including Texas’ Xavier Worthy.

Jackson made it look easy during his sixth season with the Baltimore Ravens. From designed runs to regularly evading pressure from defenders with ease, Jackson often had his way on the field.

Worthy kept a close watch on Jackson throughout the year, and he believes that the passer’s play style would bode just well with his game.

"Being with Lamar, just his ability to escape and evade in the pocket, I feel like that would be good for me," Worthy said during a press conference at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. "Just kind of having the scramble drill, that would be amazing."

Worthy also noted that he has not met with the Ravens. Baltimore has touched base with a few wideouts at this year's NFL Scouting Combine, from Florida State's Keon Coleman to Texas' Adonai Mitchell.

Xavier Worthy's impressive 2023 season

Worthy posted career highs across the board in his final season at Texas, from receptions (75) to receiving yards (1,014). He also tallied five touchdown catches in the campaign.
