San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has been named the winner of the 2023 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.

McCaffrey was the do-it-all running back for the 49ers in regular season play this year. In his first full season with the 49ers, McCaffrey ended up leading the NFL in both yards from scrimmage (2,023) and total touchdowns (21).

McCaffrey garnered both the most vote points (222) and first-place votes (39) for this year’s NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson finished in fourth place in the voting for this prestigious honor. He tallied the most vote points (32) by any quarterback for the award.

Jackson recorded 29 total touchdowns and also led Baltimore to the No. 1 seed in the AFC for the first time in four seasons.
