Bengals Week 15 Snap Counts: Cincinnati’s shutout loss was felt in more ways than just the scoreboard
Cincinnati lost the game and several players due to injury.
The Cincinnati Bengals remain winless in December after being held scoreless by the Baltimore Ravens, 0-24, in NFL Week 15. Cincinnati is officially eliminated from playoff contention, and finishing the rest of the season may be tough for a handful of players who suffered their own losses on Sunday.
Let’s see what the snap counts had to say about the Bengals’ loss to the Ravens.

Offense and defense clock two very different shifts
A quick glance at the snap counts reveals just how much more the offense (76) was on the field compared to the defense (41). Cincinnati possessed the ball for 39:19 and somehow failed to score a single point, which is as impressive of a feat as you’ll find in the incompetent section of the NFL library.
The usual suspects who never leave the field on defense stayed the course Sunday. Safeties Geno Stone and Jordan Battle along with linebacker Barrett Carter were joined by cornerback Dax Hill in the 100% club, but since the snaps were on the lower side, it also allowed defensive end Myles Murphy (38) to play almost all of the game. Murphy registered five pressures and two sacks on the day and now has 4.5 sacks on the season.
Injuries shake up multiple positions
Sunday became a bloodbath in more ways than just the scoreboard. Defensive tackle B.J. Hill (25), tight tackle Amarius Mims (56), and cornerback DJ Turner II (32) were among several injuries Cincinnati dealt with during the game. Hill was replaced by DT Kris Jenkins Jr. (27), whom also suffered an injury of his own. Mims’ spot at RT was taken by Cody Ford (20). Josh Newton (9) and DJ Ivey (3) helped take Turner’s snaps.
Tight end Noah Fant (18) was also one of many who went off with injury, and ended up fourth in the position group in snaps because of his exit.
