3 takeaways from the Bills win over the Cowboys

Eight days ago, it was doom and gloom in Orchard Park. Today, the Bills sit at 8-6 with their playoff hopes, and their Super Bowl hopes- yes, Super Bowl- still very much alive after a 31-10 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
After such a dominating performance, there's a ton of credit and praise to go around, but these are my biggest takeaways from Buffalo's big win.
1. Let James Cook
Joe Brady making James Cook a focal point in the offense has been a refreshing change. Once Buffalo realized the Cowboys couldn't stop the run, they just kept pounding the rock. Cook had 179 of the Bills 266 yards on the ground, and an additional 42 as a receiver, totaling two touchdowns on the day. Over the last two games, Cook has 362 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. He is no longer just a role player in the offense, he's a vital part of their success.
2. Defensive depth flexed its muscles
One of the keys to victory I pointed out coming into the week was that the Bills defense had to flex its depth, and that no one wanted to hear any excuses about both A.J. Epenesa and Micah Hyde being out. Well, Buffalo ensued to have arguably their most impressive defensive performance of the season. The held the Cowboys to 195 yards offensively at just 3.4 yards per play, and a ton of their rotational pieces stepped up to the plate. Shaq Lawson provided consistent pressure and two hits on the quarterback. Greg Rousseau had two hits on Prescott as well, plus added on half a sack and a tackle for loss. Leonard Floyd had a sack, Taylor Rapp led the team in tackles, including a run stop in which he came untouched into the backfield. You can make the argument that Sean McDermott just called the best game of his career. Buffalo's defense is clicking, and they are doing so exactly when they needed to.
3. The Bills will run the table
Buffalo just dismantled the hottest team in football by three scores, and Josh Allen didn't even throw for 100 yards. Look at their remaining schedule. They face the Easton Stick-led Chargers who just fired their head coach in Week 16, and a bad Patriots team who you know they are excited to see again after a bad loss earlier this season. That leaves Miami in Week 18 in a game that very well could be for the division, as the Dolphins have the Cowboys and Ravens, respectively, in their next two games. Even if the Bills don't win the AFC East, who wants to play this team right now? Buffalo is clicking on all fronts right now, and that is a horrifying thought for the rest of the conference as January quickly approaches.
Josh Allen prophesizes great run for Buffalo Bills
It appears the Bills spoke this win streak into existence
