The Buffalo Bills, inadvertently, were taught yet another lesson by the Cincinnati Bengals. This time, it's all about the throwbacks.

AtoZ Sports John Sheeran reported on the Bengals requesting the NFL to reverse the rule regarding throwback jerseys. For the Bengals, specifically, it was asking the NFL to allow them to wear their white jerseys with their white uniforms.

This isn't what the Bengals want to do, and they're taking action. According to the team's instagram, they're sending a letter to NFL Operations requesting to "reclassify" their white uniform combination in order to wear the White Bengal helmet with their standard all-white uniform.

The Bills Mafia have been clamoring, since even before last season when Josh Allen showed up to practice in a red helmet, to allow the team to bring back their alternate helmets. Rules are stupid, and they should just let the Bills do it if you ask me.

Once again, Josh Allen riled up the fanbase with another iteration of the Bills helmet at their most recent 'Return of the Blue & Red' scrimmage, donning a blue helmet. With more teams across the league announcing throwbacks, it feels as though Buffalo has missed out.

It seems, respectfully, that the front office doesn't have the right pulse on the fanbase and what they are asking for. While some of the Bills Mafia are divided on the red helmets, bringing back a throwback option for one of the most dominant teams in sports seems like an opportunity missed.

The glory days of the Bills, despite not winning the Super Bowl, were when they were donning the red helmets. Cincinnati understood the assignment and is doing everything it can to bring them back, showing up the Bills months after dominating them on the football field.

Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott, Terry Pegula, whoever is listening (none of them probably are), just write a fancy letter and give the fans what they want.

Bring back the red helmets. We want it, we deserve it.
