The Buffalo Bills announced that Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have signed contract extensions, keeping them with the team until at least 2027.
McDermott and Beane had quickly and drastically changed the trajectory of the franchise since their arrival. In their tenure, they were able to secure one of the best quarterbacks in all of football, break a historic playoff drought, and bring back the winning ways to a fanbase so deserving.
While they haven't won a Super Bowl and some of their decisions haven't always been the best, overall they have been instrumental to the success of the organization. Buffalo is viewed in an entirely different way since before their arrival.
McDermott had signed with the team in January of 2017 with Beane following close behind by signing in May of that same year. In his first six seasons, McDermott has taken the team to the playoffs five times. For Brandon Beane, he's five-for-five, five seasons, and five playoff births.
These two men are the type of leaders that you'll eventually see statues outside of the stadium, commemorating all they've done for the team and the city. While fans patiently wait for "just one," they've got the right people at the top to take them there.
This is a great day to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills.
