The Buffalo Bills' defense is going to look a lot different this season.

Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde are back and healthy, a huge boost to the defense. Von Miller, at some point, will be returning, Tre White will be making the next step after an ACL injury a few years ago, and of course the middle linebacker position.

There has been a huge hole on the roster since Tremaine Edmunds' departure. Edmunds was the leading tackler on the team and the signal-caller for the defense. Buffalo has big shoes to fill, and quick.

However, Brandon Beane spilled the beans (no pun intended) on the current camp battle and where it sits, specifically, who is leading the charge for the position battle.

While appearing on NFL Network, Beane was asked about who has stood out to him and who will rise through the training camp process.

Starting with Rousseau and the defensive line, Beane gushed about his success. Then, Beane without being asked jumped into the linebacker battle and who has stood out to him. Potentially, a sign for things to come and who is winning the battle early.

"Two linebackers that have really stood out so far, early on but Spect.. Bernard and Tyrel Dodson had a great play on a screen today so. Spector is in the mix too but those two guys have really done a nice job."

Surprisingly, rookie LB Dorian Williams wasn't mentioned. While Buffalo was hoping there was a chance he was drafted to come in and compete for the position, it doesn't look like that's the case.

Dodson, a former Texas A&M legend is making noise and could quickly become a fan favorite. The former Aggie is doing his best to compete and show the world he is ready. Bernard, a second-year player, has shown flashes as well.

Go in, compete, and win the job. These next few weeks are going to be fun.
