Before leaving the stadium, Harris gave a thumbs up to his teammates and fans who were rightfully so terrified after seeing him go down. A lot of these players were part of another terrifying injury last season with Damar Hamlin.
Immediately after Harris went down, the cameras panned to Hamlin who had an unforgettable and heartbreaking reaction to his teammate going down with an injury. Hamlin nearly died on the football field last season, making this injury a little close to home for him.
Luckily, the team provided an immediate update for Harris that his arms and legs were moving, a positive sign after suffering from a neck injury. McDermott provided the same sentiment during an interview on the sideline, offering that he had no further update at the moment.
Buffalo has been battling through a slew of potentially devastating injuries this season, and Harris' injury just adds another to that list. While we have no further information, we're hoping that it's not as bad as it looks and that Harris can be back with his teammates sooner rather than later.
Hamlin was emotional, as we all were after seeing Harris go down.
