The Buffalo Bills S Damar Hamlin is continuing his remarkable journey, this time it's outside of the game of football.
In the Bills' last contest, it was a homecoming for Hamlin as he is a native who played at the University of Pittsburgh. I previously wrote about what that moment meant for him, and the now-viral clips that surfaced from him before the game.
Hamlin, once again, outdid himself with an act much bigger than sports. The talented safety has spent the offseason going around the country to advocate for AEDs to be put in high schools. On top of that, Hamlin traveled around the country with his Chasing M's foundation to also aid in awareness for CPR and provide free training for thousands of people.
Another day, another instance of Hamlin outdoing himself as the safety stuck around in Pittsburgh to give back to the youth, providing necessary items for those less fortunate and an all-time classy move for a man with so much to give.
Hamlin posted on social media about his efforts, hosting a back-to-school drive that gives out book bags, haircuts, school supplies, nail polish, food, and so much more. The city of Buffalo is known as the city of good neighbors and it appears that Hamlin is doing all he can to be a good neighbor, regardless of what state or city he's in.
From nearly dying on the football field, to making a huge impact on communities across the country is another reason why the Bills Mafia and the world have fallen in love with Hamlin and his remarkable story.
It would be enough for him to just return to football, but Hamlin is trying to change the world with his actions. I, for one, couldn't be happier that he's a member of the Buffalo Bills.
While he's been shining off the field, we can't wait to see what more he can accomplish on the field.
