Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills has taken the world by storm.

The talented safety suffered a reported cardiac arrest against the Cincinnati Bengals. Since then there has been a flurry of updates on his health.

Damar himself has spoken out since the incident. The most recent update is one that proves to be so much bigger than sports.

The talented safety made the announcement that he was teaming up with the American Heart Association for a new initiative.

The three-for-heart CPR challenge is one designed for the entire nation. Hamlin outlined the three steps for his recent challenge which include going to a AHA's website to learn CPR, donate to the AHA to fund CPR awareness and challenge three friends. Damar swung for the fences and challenged Tom Brady, Michelle Obama, and LeBron James.

Hamlin's initiative with the American Heart Association comes just days after the safety made his first official announcement via video since suffering the injury.

Damar has a long road to recovery but has already begun work on his next big venture. Hamlin knows the importance of CPR as the Buffalo Bills assistants administered the life-saving procedure on the field before he was admitted to the hospital.

Whether it was Hamlin going back to One Bills Drive for the first time, face-timing his teammates before their playoff matchup, or throwing up a signature three, the entire world has been keeping tabs on his recovery.

It is still unknown whether the safety will ever play football again, but seeing him laugh and talk with the community is a breath of fresh air.

While the Buffalo Bills season ended in devastating fashion, the Damar Hamlin updates are exactly what the Bills Mafia needed to hear during this difficult time.

A bulk of the Bills roster and front office is in question for the upcoming season. After the playoff loss to the Bengals, fans were quick to point out that immediate changes need to take place.

Coaches, premiere players, and staff are all up in the air and the Bills have already begun making moves.

In an offseason filled with uncertainty, Damar Hamlin's smiling has given the fanbase new life. Not everything this offseason is going to be sunshine and rainbows, but this is undoubtedly a step in the right direction.
