Another day, another red-hot update on the DeAndre Hopkins situation. This time, the Arizona Cardinals gave the most telling sign that Hopkins may not be on their team next season. Arizona, when showcasing new uniforms, left out an important detail.
DeAndre Hopkins and Budda Baker were nowhere to be found in the team photo. Recently, Baker went public wanting to be traded from the team, and for the past few weeks, it's been reported that the Cardinals may be willing to trade Hopkins. Quickly, the photo spread like wildfire across social media.
Whether Hopkins was simply not available or if this was an intentional move by the organization, things are starting to reach a fever pitch with the Hopkins trade rumors. What started with a rumor led to a report and then transpired into a viral Instagram post. Recently, Von Miller outright announced that DeAndre Hopkins wants to be a member of the Buffalo Bills. Needless to say, the past few weeks have been a whirlwind.
This isn't the first, and won't be the last, time this offseason that a big name has been rumored to be linked to Buffalo. Before Odell Beckham Jr signed with the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo was the odds-on favorite to land the polarizing wide reciever. Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry were also two top-tier players linked to Buffalo just this year alone.
Bills Mafia is chomping at the bit for the opportunity to see an offense that features DeAndre Hopkins. Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, and Gabe Davis would be nightmare fuel for any opposing defenses.
With the draft rapidly approaching there's a chance Arizona may come down from its reportedly sky-high asking price for Hopkins. If that were the case, it wouldn't be surprising if Beane were to entertain the idea.
