When it rains it pours.

The Buffalo Bills are now expected to be without safety Jordan Poyer when taking on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The Bills, who remain a 5.5-point favorite heading into gameday, have seen their starting lineup take hit after hit this week. Friday's injury report included fourteen players, plenty of which have already been ruled out.

Those Bills who won't be taking the field include:

That means the Bills won't have 45% of its starting defense without even taking into consideration Tre'Davious White (IR).

On top of the players listed above, the injury report also includes the following questionable players:

  • WR Gabe Davis
  • TE Dawson Knox
  • C Mitch Morse
  • DT Tim Settle (second-string defensive tackle)

The colossal cluster of injuries will put the Bills' depth to the test versus a Dolphins squad that has a frightening duo of wide receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. To stop them, the Bills will ask Kaiir Elam, Christian Benford, Jaquan Johnson, and Damar Hamlin to step up.

It should be quite the task. If the Bills succeed, every word said about them being one of the deepest rosters in recent memory will be confirmed. Adversity is staring Buffalo right in the face, which should be a fun trial for a Super Bowl-aspiring squad.
