Many around the NFL have declared the Miami Dolphins’ hire of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to be a homerun. But there is reason to believe the Buffalo Bills and QB Josh Allen could be silent supporters of their AFC East rival’s decision.
There is no doubt that Fangio is one of the best defensive minds in football. That being said, he’s struggled to figure out how to stop Allen.
In two games against Buffalo, Fangio’s defense hasn’t been able to faze Allen. The Bills star quarterback has posted a 66.15 completion percentage and 544 total passing yards. Allen has thrown for four touchdowns to just one interception, while adding two touchdowns on the ground as well.
Just because Fangio could be an improvement in Miami doesn’t necessarily mean his scheme is good enough to stop the Bills’ high-powered offense. Then again, there aren’t many defenses are equipped to do so.
