Bills fan-favorite is fired up over latest NFL announcement that proves he’s one of the very best in the league
It’s a good time to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills.
The Buffalo Bills found a superstar both on and off the field in Dion Dawkins. Since joining the organization via the 2017 draft in which the Bills selected him in the second round and 63rd overall pick, the rest was history.
Dawkins has proven to be one of the very best in his position across the entire NFL, and he’s getting his fair share of flowers because of it.
Protecting Josh Allen is his number one job, and Dawkins has expressed that he wants nothing more than to bring a Lombardi trophy to Western New York. Over the years, Dawkins has cemented himself as not only a fan-favorite but one of the very best to play at his position.
It cannot be expressed enough how valuable Dawkins is and has been to this roster, and it’s about time he’s getting his flowers as one of the top players across the league.
Dion Dawkins lands on the NFL Top 100
Now, that’s not to say that the NFL Top 100 isn’t flawed. Remember a few years ago when Mac Jones got an absurdly high ranking and then went on to drop a massive dud the following season.
Sorry, Patriots fans, but after nearly 20 years of getting beaten down by Tom Brady and the Patriots, it’s fair game. Back to Dawkins.
To no one’s surprise, Dawkins’ addition to the NFL’s Top 100 was met with another viral moment from the superstar LT.
This is Dawkins’ highest ranking on the list, finding himself landing at the 42nd spot. While we could argue it’s still far too low, we love seeing him get his recognition among his peers. For reference, last season, Dawkins came in at 96, which is even more insane to think there were 95 better players than Dawkins in the NFL, but I digress.
“Yeah, I love Top 100. This s**t always looks great, bro. You guys do a great job every year. I have too much fun.” With his huge, childlike smile on his face. Now, while this was only a few small words, it is much bigger than that. Dawkins is the ultimate professional both on and off the field, with his own “Shnowman” flair.
Dawkins adopted the nickname “Snhowman” in part because of how insane the winters are in Western New York, and it more than stuck. Anytime Dawkins pops up on the screen, I find it hard not to yell, “Shnowman!!”
The video continued on after a little highlight reel showing Dawkins gushing over the Bills Mafia on the sideline. A voiceover had the fanbase ready to run through a brick wall, “What rough and tumble tackle is a perfect fit for Buffalo and its die-hard fans? You already shnow, it’s Dion Dawkins.”
The narrator continued later on in the video, “If you walk into Dion’s trap, it’s pretty tough to walk out.” If you are unaware of what type of monster Dawkins can be on the football field, the superstar himself had posted a highlight reel to social media last year, and it’s beyond perfect.
Dawkins even spoke on this directly with a mic drop quote, “linemen are not just objects and we’re actually highlight players as well.”
Speaking on his dominance, Dawkins offered an inside look at the position and how he’s been successful, “Everything that I do is I use what they’re doing against them. If they try to spin, I’m doing things to make their spin a fault. If they’re coming with the bull rush, I’m using their bull rush against them, where I’m chopping them down with the ice pick.”
Dawkins doesn’t shy away from the bright lights: “I enjoy playing against guys who are very, very good at competing. I get this big split away from my guard where we’re one-on-one, and I go out there and I tell them, ‘we’re one-on-one, we’re one-on-one, bring your best move.””

Dawkins deserves all the praise in the world, beyond blessed that he’s a member of the Buffalo Bills. Here’s hoping that at the end of the season, Dawkins is passing around the Lombardi trophy, giving us yet another viral soundbite in a way that only Dion Dawkins knows how.
