Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane doesn't make too many poor moves. It's part of the reason he's regarded as one of the best GMs in the NFL.
One move from the past where things simply didn't work out for the Bills was their decision to trade with the Indianapolis Colts for RB Nyheim Hines. Hines hasn't played for the Bills in two years and hasn't suited up for an NFL game since 2022. Now, according to ESPN 's Adam Schefter, the shifty RB is looking to make a comeback to the NFL.
Former Bills RB Nyheim Hines is trying to make an NFL comeback

Hines began his career with the Colts for four and a half seasons. After seven games in the 2022 NFL season, the Bills elected to make a move to add the former fourth-round draft pick. The Bills sent Indianapolis RB Zack Moss and a conditional sixth-round pick that eventually became a fifth-round pick.
Hines ended up appearing in nine games with Buffalo, recording six rushes for a very uninspiring -3 yards, along with five receptions for 53 yards and one touchdown. His biggest impact for Buffalo came on special teams, with him returning 16 punts for 153 yards and, even more impressively, he turned 19 kick returns into 554 yards and two touchdowns. Both touchdowns actually came in the same game, believe it or not.
Unfortunately, a freak injury during the offseason took the entire 2023 season away from Hines, and he has yet to return to live game action in the NFL. He's hoping to change that soon by earning a second chance to make his NFL dreams come true. I doubt that second chance will be in Buffalo, though, after his time with the team not leading to much of an offensive role. Whoever lands Hines will get a shifty athlete who in the past had the ability to impact both the rushing and passing games. Preferably, you'd want him to be no better than RB3 on your depth chart, and the best role to let him compete to be a starter would be as a returner.
ESPN just gave James Cook more reason to hold out but he still won’t do it because the Bills have all the leverage
At this point, everyone knows James Cook wants a big payday from the Buffalo Bills and Brandon Beane is no rush to make a deal happen. Therefore, many are wondering Cook "holds in" during training camp in an effort to prove a point and maybe even the season. Contract negotiations, especially for running backs, can […]
