The Buffalo Bills were front and center in the national media after their disappointing Week 1 loss to the New York Jets.
From pundits like Stephen A. Smith questioning if Josh Allen is the answer at QB with his turnover-prone playstyle, to Nick Wright going on yet another anti-Alen Twitter/X tirade, to even a bizarre trade idea suggesting that Zach Wilson has more value than Allen on the open market, it was intense.
While normally quiet, WR Gabe Davis stood up for his franchise QB and his team after their blowout victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Put simply, Davis ignores the noise and just focuses on football.
When asked about the myriad of different pundits and their bizarre take on the team, Ryan Talbot from Syracuse.com has Davis with the following. "I didn't really see that much because I don't have Twitter and I don't watch the sports stuff."
Davis continued, "It's all a bunch of bull crap all the time. They just sit there and judge everybody on their week one performance. 'Is this team the best? Is this defense the best? Is this offense the worst?' They just say so many things, I rather not even have that enter my mind."
The talented receiver then got personal, putting everything into perspective, "Imagine a bunch of people just talking crap about you 24/7 the whole week. You don't want to hear that, no one wants to hear that."
Davis was able to quiet the noise for an impressive performance that saw him bring in six catches for 92 yards and one touchdown. To end his interview, Davis is looking toward the future. "Everything happens for a reason." He continued, "I feel like it helped us understand each other better, work harder, and know that we have to stay on our P's and Q's in order to be able to go out there and do it."
Really great perspective from a player looking to take the league by storm. I previously wrote about how the Buffalo Bills need to extend Gabe Davis, this is just another reason. He's a quiet leader on a potent offense who won't let the national pundits get inside his head.
We're so excited to see what he can accomplish in his career.

The Buffalo Bills’ offensive line issues were some of the biggest concerns coming into this season. With a recent development, Josh Allen has to be smiling.
