The Buffalo Bills showed the world that Week 1 was a fluke with a dominant victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Sean McDermott leading the charge by calling the plays on defense with Josh Allen putting the team on his back was crucial in the victory.
However, we need to talk about the growing problem in the WR room. Specifically, Gabe Davis and his future with the organization. While Week 1 was sloppy, Davis bounced back with another incredible game. The talented receiver finished his day with six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown.
I previously wrote about how the Buffalo Bills need to extend WR Gabe Davis yesterday, and that was in early August so this is me once again pounding the table for the team to reach a new deal with their talented wide receiver.
I can fully understand the dilemma and the pushback from the Bills Mafia after last season. Davis shined, despite dealing with a nagging ankle injury which ultimately limited his production. The WR2 has high hopes for a bounce-back season.
Throughout his short NFL career, Davis has amassed 126 receptions for 2,108 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Just this season, Davis balled out in camp and is proving to be a trusty and reliable weapon for the Buffalo Bills. If the team cannot reach an agreement before the season ends, and Davis continues his upward trajectory, the team may lose him in the long run.
The team would have a huge problem on their hands if they can't find a way to retain their number 2 receiver, and a trusty asset for Allen in this high-powered offense. We've said it before and we will say it again, extend Gabe Davis.
Bills’ Josh Allen leads the league in completion percentage
The Buffalo Bills superstar QB had quite a performance in the team’s dominant win over the Las Vegas Raiders. With the victory, Josh Allen pulled off the impossible.. Well, sort of.
