The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a crucial matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Today, during a press conference, Brandon Beane had an array of huge topics to discuss with the media.
Cole Beasley's return, Odell Beckham Jr rumors, and the most surprising of all, the availability of Micah Hyde.
Micah Hyde suffered an injury that initially had him out for the remainder of the season.
Now, it appears there's a chance the All-Pro safety could see the field this season.
The addition of Micah Hyde would be a bigger addition than O'dell Beckham Jr.
The Bills currently have a slew of talented wide receivers at the ready. Having the ability to start two All-Pro safeties in the backfield would be more impactful than another pass-catching weapon.
While it's still incredibly unlikely this happens, the general manager acknowledged the slight possibility of his return.
Hyde and Poyer have been instrumental to the Buffalo defense for the past several years. Their dominance against opposing quarterbacks is unmatched across the NFL.
An injury-riddled season with losses to Micah Hyde, Von Miller, Christian Benford and countless others has been difficult, to say the least.
Having Micah Hyde back on the field for a potential AFC championship game or Super Bowl would be a game-changer for the defense.
The offense gets some love
Josh Allen and the offense will look to get things in order after a few additions on that side of the football as well.
Cole Beasley and John Brown are back on the roster after spending some time away from the team.
Before Stefon Diggs showed up in Buffalo, it was the Smoke and Beasley show.
Beasley and Brown were instrumental in the growth of Josh Allen and had career years with the franchise quarterback at the helm.
If the offense can figure out their miscues, and if Micah Hyde can somehow find his way back on the field, it would boost the Bills' chances in a big way.
Err on the side of caution
McDermott and Beane have been very careful not to rush players back from injury, but just the announcement that he's not technically out for the rest of the season should excite Bills Mafia.
Adding an All-Pro caliber player to an already explosive defense would be a nightmare for anyone facing off against them.
The Bills are in control of their own destiny and will look to take down the Dolphins under the bright, snowy lights on Saturday night.
Get your popcorn ready, this is going to be fun.
