The Buffalo Bills have reinforcements in the way. Not only are players on the injury report getting healthier, but they've got a former All-Pro nearing his return.
Sean McDermott confirmed the Bills have activated cornerback Tre'Davious
White's practice window to return. That gives the two-time Pro Bowler 21 days to be activated to the 53-man roster.
However, he won't be ready for Sunday's electric showdown. Everything the Bills have built since the offseason has been targeted at bringing down the Kansas City Chiefs, who have eliminated them in back-to-back years.
That's why – even though this is likely the first of two meetings – Sunday is much bigger than just a battle for the AFC's top seed.
When White returns, a Bills pass defense that currently ranks as the sixth best per Football Outsider's DVOA will only get better. Rookies Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford have lived up to the hype, suddenly giving the Bills a deep group once the star corner returns.
Although Bills Mafia will have to wait a tiny bit more to see White take the field, Wednesday's "did not practice" list is amazingly short compared to past weeks!
Is it Sunday yet? Also, why the heck is this not a primetime game?
