Everyone loves a good sibling rivalry, especially the NFL which is dominated by storylines. Buffalo Bills RB James Cook has an extra reason to kick it into an entirely new gear this season.

Recently, after weeks of anticipation, Dalvin Cook signed with the New York Jets. Pairing with Breece Hall makes for a formidable backfield for the former Pro Bowler. James Cook, without saying a word, let the world know how he felt about his brother's signing.

With Dalvin joining the Jets, it means that he and James get to face off against one another at least twice a year. There's nothing brothers want more than to beat the other, and they'll have a chance to get the upper hand in week one as the Bills travel to New Jersey to take on the Jets.

Dalvin is the better running back historically. He's dominated the NFL and has plenty of seasons under his belt as the true number one for the Minnesota Vikings. However, I think James is the ultimate winner in his brother coming to the Jets, especially now in his career.

Last year, in limited playing time, James shined with the Bills. In fact, had he managed just a few more carries, he would've led the league in YPC (Yards Per Carry), a staggering feat I discussed when talking about Cook shining in his rookie campaign. It's made even more impressive by the offensive line that was held together with bubble gum and duct tape, or at least that's what it felt like.

Cook, with just 11 more carries, could have been sitting atop the entire NFL in terms of average yards per carry. While it's impossible to say what Cook would have done with 11 more carries, he continues to showcase why he is one of the best young stars in the NFL.

Now that Devin Singletary is off to the Texans, this backfield belongs to James. While there are others like Damien Harris, Latavius Murray, and even Jordan Mims clawing to get playing time, Cook is expected to carry the load in the backfield.

Hot take alert: James Cook is going to have a better statistical season than his brother. Just wanted to get that out there.

James has all the tools at his disposal to really break out this season. Coming into his second year, he's looking to take the league by storm. His ability to break any play off for a touchdown was evident in the team's first preseason game where Cook trotted into the endzone. On top of his abilities as a running back, Cook is going to excel in the passing game, providing Allen with a release valve on one of the most potent offenses across the league.

Cook exploding and having a breakout year is only made that much sweeter that his brother Davlin basically has a front-row seat to the show. We know James is going to try and do everything he can to show his big brother that there's a new sheriff in town.

Dalvin is only going to push James even further next season, and we absolutely cannot wait. A little sibling rivalry should yield fantastic results for the Bills' offense this season.

Let. James. Cook.
