Fresh off a tough defeat, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was a class act on Sunday evening. He met with multiple Kansas City Chiefs stars postgame, including Travis Kelce.
The interaction was a cordial one, but Kelce made an interesting comment to Allen. Kelce said that 'it was crazy you even got here, bro' to Allen, regarding the Bills making it to an AFC divisional round matchup.
Was the comment a bit of a backhanded compliment from the star tight end? Probably not, but it did sound a bit odd in the heat of the moment.
In reality, Kelce was probably just referring to the fact that Buffalo clawed themselves out of a 6-6 record twelve games into the year.
They battled a plethora of important injuries and survived to nearly make the AFC Championship. That's nothing to sneeze at, and both teams played an impressive game that fans will remember for quite some time.
As for Allen, he played one of the best games of his career. He took care of the ball and was efficient. In the end, it simply was not enough against a Chiefs team that looks much better than it did even a month ago.
The comments from Kelce to Allen in the postgame may get blown out of proportion by some, but both players seemed to understand how tough of a battle both teams just endured.
