Maybe the best touchdown from the Buffalo Bills victory over the Tampa Bay Buccanneers on 'Thursday Night Football' was that of Dalton Kincaid getting his first NFL touchdown. Immediately after, he jumped into the stands to celebrate with the Bills Mafia, a moment we, or he, won't soon forget.
Following the contest, Allen opened up about the touchdown and what happened immediately after. You could see Allen sprinting toward Kincaid and then carrying the football off to the sideline. First, another incredible moment from Allen, he's a true leader. And two, why did he do that?
Well, during his postgame interview, Allen provided one of the best soundbites we can remember hearing, revealing what went through his mind after the play and even telling the media about a hilarious nickname the team has for Kincaid, along with other rookies on the roster.
The portion of the video where Allen talks about Kincaid can be found around the 25:06 mark of the video below.
Allen began, talking about grabbing the ball from Kincaid and letting the world know of the special nickname for the youngsters, "Yeah, we call them SFRs, stupid rookies. So, you never know what they're going to do on their first touchdown so I stole it from him and made sure I got it to our equipment manager… He'll be able to keep that."
Obviously, Allen missed a word with "SFR" meaning "stupid rookie." Allen was pressed on this and gave a witty smile, asking the reporter to "go on" when he was asked about missing a letter in the nickname.
When the team is winning, it's all smiles and laughter. After these past few weeks of bad football and the game coming down to the last possible play, they seemed to have found their rhythm.
Here's hoping there aren't any more SFRs messing anything up for Allen for the rest of the season. But please, Dalton Kincaid, keep scoring touchdowns.
