The Buffalo Bills are finalizing preparations for their upcoming season-opening matchup against the New York Jets. While that should be the primary focus, unfortunately, it isn't.

The offseason has been dominated by the aftermath between Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen and the subsequent actions after the on-field burst from the superstar wide receiver during their playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

What later morphed into cryptic messages, a bizarre rumor about him wanting a trade, and even Sean McDermott said he was "very concerned" after the first day of mandatory practice in which Diggs wasn't available.

During an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Allen was asked directly about his relationship with Diggs, and if there was any bad blood between the two, Allen didn't hold back.

In the later portion of the interview, Eisen was candid with a question for Josh Allen. Providing some context on what the media has perceived as a rift between the superstar receiver and the organization.

Eisen started, "Stefon Diggs and you needed to have a hug out this past summer after a spring in which you guys didn't really communicate with each other. What do you say there?"

Allen was quick to respond with, "We hugged it out."

Eisen continued, "This thing is to bed? Whatever the thing was, was there a thing, Josh?"

The Bills quarterback remained steadfast in his response, following up with, "There wasn't. But it's, whatever it was, whatever the media made it, it's way back there."

That's when Eisen took off the kid gloves and really dove into the situation the team found themselves in, seemingly calling out Allen and everyone at One Bills Drive for how they handled the situation with their superstar wide receiver.

"I'll be honest, I'm part of that media and I felt that when the coach said he was concerned during the June OTAs, that's what raised my level of concern by discussing it here Josh, just so that you're aware," Eisen pointed out.

Allen, not letting him get a one-over on him, gave a hilarious response with, "But, the keyword is June OTAs" which immediately got a laugh out of Eisen.

Eisen followed, "So, you and Diggs are on the same page, reading from the same book, everything is cool is what you're saying?

Allen continued, "We're reading the same word right now… We're trying to win and that's our main goal is to win football games and it starts Monday night against the Jets."

With a huge game coming up, it's a breath of fresh air to hear the franchise quarterback, once again, shut down any notion that the team is anything but on the same page. Or in Allens' words, the same word.

Allen and Diggs are crucial to the team's success, so any fleeting feelings of bad blood need to be squashed now before the team can do what it takes in the hope of reaching the ultimate goal of a Super Bowl.

For now, it's onto Week One. We can't wait.
