The final two weeks of the regular season are the most important they have been for Buffalo since 2018 when they got into the playoffs in the season's final week.
Buffalo is riding high on a three-game winning streak, and their defensive depth has flexed their respective muscles in the process.
With that in mind, the Bills made the shocking choice to not play a future Hall of Famer on that side of the ball.
The Bills have made edge rusher Von Miller a healthy scratch against the Patriots. Miller appeared on the injury report, but was only labeled as veteran rest.
Miller has struggled this season, and has made more noise off the field than on it. He has yet to record a sack this year, and turned himself in to police during the team's bye week on account of domestic violence allegations. In terms of what he's done on the field, he has only played in five games, and has yet to show his superstar ability in the way he did last season before tearing his ACL.
The Bills do get edge rusher A.J. Epenesa back today, though, so the pass rush will be given a big bump in production.
