Bills: Micah Hyde sounds off on Stefon Diggs's on-field incident
After months of waiting, we finally have answers to one of the biggest questions surrounding the Buffalo Bills.
Superstar safety and All-Pro Micah Hyde appeared on Good Morning Football to talk all things Buffalo Bills.
During his segment, the talented safety opened up on one of the biggest questions surrounding the team and one of the most polarizing moments from last season.
Obviously, there is still some pain in the hearts of the Bills Mafia after Super Bowl expectations weren't met. Even more, fans have had a bad taste in their mouths over some of recent tweets sent out by Stefon Diggs this offseason.
On a crucial fourth down, Josh Allen missed a pass to Stefon Diggs. Immediately after on the sideline, Diggs walked up to Allen with his arms raised in the air.
Diggs' exchange with Allen went viral for all the wrong reasons. Hyde was able to clear the air and give the Bills Mafia an inside look at his feelings about the situation. Typically tight-lipped, this was a look inside the organization fans aren't normally used to seeing.
Hyde was blunt and honest about the interaction, talking about the two and what went down. Additionally, Hyde spoke about Diggs' attempt at leaving the stadium before meeting with the team.
Hyde started with an honest assessment of what type of player the superstar wide receiver is, "that's Diggs man. He's a competitor"
Continuing on, Hyde commented "Diggs wants to compete and he does an amazing job of doing just that. He's an alpha male, he's a dog. That's his mentality."
Micah Hyde, almost speaking directly to Bills Mafia, was direct with his next response. "I feel like if he was not complaining and we lost that game and we all set off into the sunset into the offseason, that would probably be a problem. He's a competitor and he wants to win."
Speaking specifically on Diggs' impact on the organization and what the team felt about that moment, Hyde responded perfectly. "As a locker room and as an organization we understand Diggs. We know what type of person he is."
For all those wondering if there is any type of issue in the locker room with Diggs and his perceived antics, Hyde pulled no punches. "Nobody is panicking, nobody is worrying about that. I know Diggs personally and I know he's a competitor."
With plenty of question marks surrounding the team, getting an answer on the controversial moment will allow the Bills Mafia to rest easy.
They will be back, they will be better, and Diggs is here to stay.
