The Buffalo Bills are having an injury problem.

Just today we wrote about Josh Allen needing to seek medical attention for the third practice within two weeks. Now, another injury has made headlines and it's one that the team cannot afford to have.

When looking at the roster, while there's plenty of depth, the offensive line has had some big issues over the past few seasons. Put plainly, Allen hasn't been protected and the line has fallen flat.

Now, one of their best players, Dion Dawkins, reportedly went down with an injury. To add insult to injury, he came back on the field without pads or a helmet as it looks like his day is done.

Having one of your top offensive linemen go down with an injury, in practice, before the season even begins is not good. To have Allen go down three times, Spencer Brown go down with an injury, and Cam Lewis in as many days, continues an unsettling trend at One Bills Drive.

The team has high hopes for a Super Bowl which largely rest on the shoulders of Allen and the offense. If he can't be protected and is forced to play hero ball, they may unfortunately not be able to live up to the sky-high expectations.

Here's hoping it's nothing serious and the team can get healthy, and back on the right track. Dawkins is a crucial piece of the offense that the team cannot afford to lose before playing a single snap in an NFL game this season.
