Bills QB Josh Allen just received the perfect motivation for the 2023 season

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen doesn't necessarily need any motivation in 2023.
Coming up short of a Super Bowl appearance the last three seasons despite winning the AFC East is all the motivation Allen should need entering his sixth season in the NFL.
But just in case Allen needs a little added motivation in 2023, he received it this week.
NFL Network's Peter Schrager revealed his top two quarterbacks in the NFL this week and Allen was not one of them.
Instead, Schrager went with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
That's quite a choice by Schrager.
Mahomes being listed at No. 1 isn't much of a surprise. Nor is it controversial. Every quarterback in the NFL is chasing Mahomes right now.
But Burrow over Allen is a bit more debatable. The only thing that Burrow has that Allen doesn't is a Super Bowl appearance. Otherwise, Allen has the numbers, the Pro Bowl appearances, and the division titles to be firmly considered as the No. 2 quarterback in the NFL.
If Allen wants that narrative to change — and there are plenty of analysts that have the same top two as Schrager — then he'll need to get the Bills past the AFC Championship game this upcoming season.
I can't think of better motivation for Allen in 2023 than trying to get to a Super Bowl while proving the doubters wrong.
