The Buffalo Bills won in dominating fashion and got back to their winning ways in a game that featured everything. Turnovers, heated skirmishes, vintage Josh Allen, and so much more.
With a loss, the team would be below .500 well into the season, putting them in a must-win situation and they delivered in a big way. Another win, another instance of the Bills superstar QB making NFL history.
All eyes were on Buffalo as the team had parted ways with their former offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey after an embarrassing loss to the Denver Broncos last week. While it was just one game, newly promoted Joe Brady balled out and called an excellent game on offense.
Immediately following the contest, head coach Sean McDermott opened up to the media and discussed the victory, the path forward, and what Joe Brady was able to accomplish.
You can find McDermott's comments beginning at the 38:45 mark of the video below.
Speaking on what Brady was able to accomplish, McDermott provided, "Offensively I thought we did a good job during the week led by Joe (Brady) and the offensive staff. Really coming together, the collaboration, and then working then to Josh (Allen) and Josh taking it. Really Josh, Stef (Diggs), and Mitch (Morse) taking it to the offensive players and bringing the gameplan to life."
McDermott opened up on what he saw from Allen and the overall unit on offense, "I saw a little bit more of his personality and our offense's personality. This is nothing about what had happened before or with coach Dorsey." McDermott continued, "It's more of us just getting back to just an energy on offense and guys having some fun and I thought the offensive staff did a real good job of shaping the gameplan that the guys felt good about and could execute."
Directly calling out Brady and what kind of game he was able to call, McDermott didn't hold back, "First of all, Joe picked up where we needed him to right away. When we made the switch, there was no hesitation. He went right to the offensive staff and the offensive staff really came together and collaborated in a team way, in an effective way. I saw a healthy dose of leadership from Joe." McDermott continued, "And then Joe's relationship with Josh I think was important. His communication during the week and making sure Josh was in sync with the gameplan that they had good symmetry there."
McDermott is happy with Brady and we can't blame him for his gushing comments about the offensive coordinator coming in on a short week and dominating from start to finish.
Victory Monday has never tasted so sweet.
