The Buffalo Bills lost the "face of the franchise," Isaiah McKenzie this offseason to the Indianapolis Colts.
While Isaiah McKenzie didn't live up to the expectations in Buffalo, he still loved the city of Buffalo and the Bills Mafia and will hold a special place in the hearts of the fanbase and the front office. Lil' dirty, as the fanbase loved to call him, shined in moments while a member of the organization.
With Buffalo taking on McKenzie in week one of the preseason, McDermott offered an now-viral soundbite about his gameplan heading into the matchup, specifically that McKenzie was public enemy number one.
McDermott, barely able to contain his smile offered, "The whole gameplan is really focused on him." Speaking on McKenzie. McDermott continued, "I put his face up in the meeting the other day and said this is Public Enemy #1, we gotta take him away."
During his tenure with the Bills, McKenzie amassed 137 catches for 1316 yards and 11 touchdowns. In his entire career, adding the time spent previously with the Denver Broncos, McKenzie is looking at 80 games with 26 started for 141 catches with 1345 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The gadget player will look to make an impact with QB Anthony Richardson as he fights for playing time. Despite it being preseason, we anticipate a warm welcome for the face of the franchise returning back to a city he loved so much.
We wish nothing but the best for McKenzie this season and cannot wait to see him back on the field tomorrow. Respectfully, we hope the defense is able to shut him down.
The Buffalo Bills need to extend WR Gabe Davis yesterday
The Buffalo Bills’ general manager, Brandon Beane, could make one of the biggest offseason moves without bringing a single player in.
