The Buffalo Bills are bringing in some reinforcements. The news broke that Leonard Fournette is in Buffalo and is signing with the team after he passed his physical.

Brandon Beane and the front office reportedly were bringing in Fournette almost two weeks ago for a visit, which had since fizzled out in a bizarre set of circumstances. Apparently, that wasn't the end of the relationship as news broke that the team is signing the playoff legend and Super Bowl champion.

Tom Pelissero reported that Fournette had indeed passed his physical and would be signing with the team's practice squad. This is on the heels of Sean McDermott providing an update on Damien Harris after his traumatic injury.

Harris was balling out in Buffalo, and the team wanted to immediately address depth at the position. They didn't waste much time as Fournette is reportedly on his way and ready to be a veteran presence in the locker room.

This move isn't going to knock off James Cook, who has been dominating this season and should be the team's true number-one back. Instead, Fournette will provide some much-needed depth at the position after Buffalo lost what could be Harris for the season. It's not the first season-ending injury the team has faced at the RB position, either. Nyheim Hines suffered a freak accident on a jet ski and was lost for the season.

Throughout his impressive NFL career, Fournette has played in 79 regular season games and has amassed 4,478 yards with 34 touchdowns on the ground with 312 receptions for 2,219 yards and seven touchdowns receiving. Fournette has historically kicked it up a notch in the playoffs to the tune of 604 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground with another 254 yards and a touchdown receiving.

At the end of the day, regardless if it's only for depth, Buffalo just gave another dynamic weapon to Josh Allen, who is having quite the year.

We have a feeling this is the first of many moves from Brandon Beane ahead of the trade deadline.
