The Buffalo Bills are solidifying its depth at one key position with the team’s latest move.

Ian Rapoport reports that the Bills have come to an agreement with ILB Tyler Matakevich on a two-year deal.

Matakevich gives Buffalo depth at inside linebacker, which could be of high importance considering Tremaine Edmunds’ is set to hit free agency on Wednesday March 15. The 30-year-old linebacker is entering his eighth season in the NFL and his fourth with the Bills.

In 2022, Matakevich played a key role on special teams, logging 79 percent of the Bills’ special teams snaps. He finished the season with six tackles, but could see an increased role in 2023.
