The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins matchup is set to begin. With that, players have spoken to the media about the upcoming contest, as well as the season as a whole.
Once again, Stefon Diggs is back in the spotlight. The offseason was spent discussing his perceived antics and whether or not he was happy with the organization. Diggs shut down any and all rumors, speaking to the media during training camp.
A slew of cryptic messages, being called out by a Buffalo reporter, and even an instance of Stephen A. Smith saying that Diggs is unhappy in Buffalo and wants a trade, Diggs has responded over and over again but the sentiment has been the same: He loves Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
With Buffalo starting the season with a loss and the Dolphins being undefeated, there are many who are counting out the team already, saying that their Super Bowl window has closed and the team just isn't good enough.
Once again, Diggs stepped up to the plate and shut down any notion that this team isn't legit, or that their Super Bowl window is closing. A fantastic response from a team captain.
You can watch his whole interview below, but we will be discussing what he said at the 5:10 mark.
Diggs was asked, "As a competitor, do you feel motivated or disrespected on how some have just written this team off."
The superstar WR put everything into perspective with a strong message on the current state of this team and the players on the roster, "I feel like it's perfect. A lot of guys on this team are count you out guys , the guys that got counted out or drafted late or really had to work for everything they got. For me personally, I don't feel no way."
Diggs continued, "We put that work in out there and that's all that matters… Everyone's opinion is different, it's going to change, that's their job,"
The team captain wasn't done just yet, though. When asked about the Bills Mafia and what they bring to the table, Diggs had yet another strong and impactful message.
"Buffalo exudes energy of we rocking with our team. Good, bad, or indifferent. I don't know how it was in the past, winning or losing. Since I've been here there's been some good times… I feel like they had a lot to cheer for. When that stadium is rocking it takes the game to another level. I feel the energy, my team feels the energy. Feeding off the energy rather than get distracted."
Speaking on the impact and what it means to him to play in Buffalo, Diggs continued, "I've played in a lot of atmospheres, I've played in Seattle, I've played in Arrowhead… Right now I feel like there ain't nothing like home."
Diggs seems ready, he loves the Bills Mafia, and he wants the world to know that this Bills' team is legit. Great stuff from a team captain ahead of a monster matchup.
