After yet another dominant regular season, followed by a premature exit from the postseason, the Buffalo Bills will once again have to prove doubters wrong in 2023. Although Super Bowl LVII concluded on Sunday with the Kansas City Chiefs hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, sportsbooks have already released odds for next season’s Super Bowl LVIII.

The Bills and Chiefs jockeyed for the AFC’s top seed for the entire regular season. Unfortunately the highly anticipated rematch from the 2022 AFC Divisional Round never took place in the playoffs this time around.

Many might assume, much like last season, the two AFC foes would check in as the NFL’s two frontrunners for next year’s Super Bowl. However, oddsmakers have a different idea.

BetMGM's Super Bowl LVIII Odds:

+600 – Chiefs

+850 – Bengals

+900 – Bills, Eagles, 49ers

+1400 – Cowboys

+1800 – Ravens

+2000 Chargers

+2500 – Lions, Packers, Jags, Jets

+3000 – Dolphins, Rams, Saints

+4000 – Browns, Broncos, Raiders, Vikings, Giants

+5000 – Panthers, Patriots, Steelers, Commanders

+6600 – Bears, Seahawks, Titans

+8000 – Falcons, Buccaneers

+15000 – Colts

+25000 – Cardinals

+30000 – Texans

Changing Their Stripes

The Cincinnati Bengals are just barely ahead of Buffalo, who has the same odds as the Eagles and 49ers. Perhaps it is due to the many questions surrounding the Bills’ looming issues in free agency. It could also be the product of Joe Burrow and the Bengals proving that their Super Bowl run one year ago was not a fluke.

Either way, Buffalo will remain one of the AFC’s top dogs as long as Josh Allen is taking snaps under center. These odds will constantly shuffle throughout the offseason with big splashes in free agency as well the impact players selected early in the draft could have on teams.

That being said, the Bills should absolutely use this as bulletin board material. It’s clearly a sign of disrespect for what Buffalo has proven over the last few seasons. On the other side of the coin it presents a golden opportunity for Bills Mafia to sprinkle a few dollars on those juicy 9/1 odds.
