Buffalo Bills WR Trent Sherfield

The Buffalo Bills have a really solid roster.

From league superstar Josh Allen, to All-Pro game-changer Stefon Diggs, all the way down to newly-acquired TE Dalton Kincaid, the team is stacked on offense.

Outside of the usual suspects, there are a few rising stars who have been making noise, pushing for a large portion of the offense coming into this season. After Nyheim Hines went down with his injury, it's nice to see some players step up and ball out.

Trent Sherfield is known, in part, for the infamous "butt punt" while playing for the Miami Dolphins. However, with what Sherfield has been able to do at camp, he's quickly rewriting history. Sherfield has been balling out with toe-tapping, one-handed touchdowns

Sherfield was taken from the bargain bin, respectfully, in comparison to his counterpart, Deonte Hardy. Both receivers were brought in this offseason to try and compete for legitimate playing time.

Buffalo brought in the speedster in March. Hardy signed a two-year, maximum contract worth $13.5M with a $9.5M base value, $5M guaranteed. A pretty penny to say the least.

The former All-Pro returner is getting a chance at substantial playing time. With Hines going down after a jet ski accident, ending his season, Buffalo is looking to replace the PR/KR role that Hines excelled at last season.

Sherfield was brought in, quieter than Hardy. It wasn't a massive contract, rather the team brought him in on a one-year, $1.7M contract with a $300k signing bonus and $750k guaranteed.

Sherfield and Allen have been wheeling and dealing, connecting for yet another touchdown at the 'Return of the Red & Blue practice.' Just a short while later, with Kyle Allen coming in, Sherfield found the back of the endzone again.

While players like Justin Shorter have been impressing, along with second-year hopeful Khalil Shakir, the Bills have depth at the receiver position. Whoever comes out of camp as the WR3 will undoubtedly earn it.

If Sherfield can keep hauling in circus one-handed touchdowns, it'll be difficult to keep him off the field. Pair that with Josh Allen gushing over him in press conferences, the sky is the limit for Sherfield.

Brandon Beane very may well have struck gold, once again.
