The Buffalo Bills love the Bills Mafia almost as much as the fanbase loves their team.
Bills GM Brandon Beane, furthering this sentiment, opened up on what he would be doing to give back to a family who lost their son. Their son was a devout member of the Bills Mafia.
After Beane had won $50,000, he discussed on The Pat McAfee Show his plans for the funds. Beane opened up on the heartwrenching story of the boy's death, and how he was going to give back in a huge way.
"Well, is it one or can we split it up to a couple of them?" Beane asked McAfee after being questioned on what he would be doing with the money.
Beane started, "My wife and I have this thing called Bills Muttfia which goes to the SPCA which serves Erie County. It's for animals, basically helping a lot for them." Beane said that 25k would be going there.
For the remainder of the money, Beane pulled at the heartstrings of not only the Bills Mafia but people across the country. "There's a young man that passed away here in Orchard Park last year, he was a teenager." Beane continued, "Tragic accident, we've done some stuff with their foundation."
Calling out the victim by name and the foundation that was set up in his name, Beane went viral. "His name is Carson Senfield. They give scholarships to some of the high school kids here in Orchard Park. It's called Carson Senfield impact foundation."
McAfee got hyped up, pointing out Beane's impact on the city and giving back to those in need. "Hell yeah, man. We appreciate you leaning into your city and making the world a better place."
Carson Senfield, previously a University of Tampa student and native New Yorker, was shot and killed after trying to get in a stranger's car by mistake. Tragically, it was right before his 19th birthday. The city of Buffalo gathered together to remember one of the most devout members of the Bills Mafia.
Beane, and the Buffalo Bills organization, fully understand what it means to be a Buffalonian and this is yet another chapter in a long list of stories revolving around charity and generosity.
Incredible stuff from one of the very best GMs in all of sports.
