The NFL Draft is drawing ever-near, with the NFL Scouting Combine set to kick off in Indianapolis next week. For the Buffalo Bills, there are some crucial additions that this roster needs to make the leap that they're hoping to make.
To put it bluntly, they had some position groups let them down in the AFC Championship Game, namely along the defensive line. In this latest 2025 two-round NFL Mock Draft, the Bills got three players that could be absolute home run picks.
Pick 30: Mike Green, Edge, Marshall
The board was very interesting for Buffalo at this pick, with a ton of players at positions of need for the Bills, including defensive tackle and corner. Mike Green was the selection for one primary reason — the edge position, a critical one for the Bills, dries up faster than defensive tackle. Green has the potential to go much higher than pick 30, making him a tremendous value. His knack for getting after the quarterback with his elite athleticism makes him a fascinating prospect.
Pick 56: Jayden Higgins, wide receiver, Iowa State
You won't find a much bigger fan of Higgins than me. His ability to separate both out of his break and vertically down the field makes him a dynamic playmaker. At 6'4", he can move well beyond what you would expect from that tall of a wide receiver. Higgins posted 87 receptions, 1,183 receiving yards, and 9 touchdowns in 2024.
Higgins' ability to stretch vertically and generate space with his release packages off the line makes him a tough customer, and would allow the Bills to move Keon Coleman inside to the Z position. It would also give the Bills quite the duo of tall wide receivers with leaping ability, which creates all kinds of interesting scenarios, especially in the red zone.
Pick 62: T.J. Sanders, defensive tackle, South Carolina
The Bills need players on the defensive line that are capable of blowing things up, from the inside out. Buffalo being able to double down on Mike Green at edge with T.J. Sanders at defensive tackle gives them two hyper-athletic dudes with a ton of upside.
Sanders had a great showing down at the Senior Bowl, which is something that we know Brandon Beane covets. With 27 pressures and five sacks as an interior defensive lineman last season, Sanders has plenty to offer.
Josh Allen’s fiance Hailee Steinfeld roasts the rest of the AFC East as she cements herself as the First Lady of Buffalo
Absolutely savage. I love it.
