Despite looking like a pretty decent situational pass rusher this season, there are definitely signs pointing towards the fact that Von Miller's time in Buffalo might be coming to a close. The veteran pass rusher is battling against Father Time, and with plenty of money due but none of it guaranteed, Buffalo might be poised to move on.

"Are the Bills going to cut Von Miller? That's the outcome that makes the most sense. Miller turns 36 next month and is under contract for three more years, but none of his remaining money is guaranteed," ESPN's Dan Graziano said. The Bills limited Miller's snap counts during the 2024 season thinking they would be able to use him more in the playoffs, but that didn't turn out to be the case; his snap counts in the playoffs games against the Ravens (17) and Chiefs (16) were among his lowest of the season. Miller hasn't been the impact player Buffalo hoped he would be when it signed him, and the Bills would save $8.397 million against this year's salary cap by releasing him."

Buffalo has a pass rush issue, but it certainly feels like saving money on contracts that are giving out more money than the production they are returning and retooling the line via the draft will be the plan for Brandon Beane and the Bills.

Fortunately for Beane, this year's draft class is stacked on the defensive line, especially early, and the Bills currently sit with three picks in the first two rounds. Beane will have plenty of chances to take a swing and hopefully change direction on his recent trend of not hitting on first round talents. Buffalo needs to find some difference makers up front in order for them to get over the hump and reach the Super Bowl while Josh Allen is still in his prime.
