Buffalo Bills & Brandon Beane likely NFL Combine target should prove to be most versatile defensive line prospect in NFL Draft

When I say "difference makers," I mean guys that can wreak havoc, destroy opposing offensive linemen, and wreck what an offense is trying to do. If they can do that from multiple positions, even better. Walter Nolen out of Ole Miss is the most versatile defensive line prospect in this year's NFL Draft class, and there's every reason to believe Brandon Beane will have his eyes glued to him.

Nolen is a B gap by heart, but he has lined up everywhere along the defensive line, and even a couple reps as an off-ball linebacker. He has a ton of juice in the pass rush, recording 13 sacks as an interior defensive lineman in the last two seasons, and he's an elite run stopper.

This is the prototype, including his length and athleticism, that Beane loves. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Nolen is one of the players expected to post incredible athletic testing numbers. I wouldn't be shocked at all to hear that Beane and the front office meet with him in Indy.

The Bills need players that can get after the quarterback. Their lack of pass rush was one of the biggest issues that showed up in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and as the Eagles proved in the Super Bowl, being able to get to the quarterback with your front four is an elite advantage. Buffalo will be leaning on Greg Rousseau and Ed Oliver as keys to their defensive line, but beyond those two, there are reps up for gabs.

Having a guy that you can line up all over the defensive line and that's capable of collapsing the pocket from the middle would be the type of asset that the Bills should be aggressively trying to add to their roster in this year's draft class.
