Three Buffalo Bills players prime for a breakout season

The Buffalo Bills are a team full of talent that may not get talked about as much as they should. Part of that is because of the alien android they have at quarterback that (rightfully) garners a lot of notice, but another part of it is that the Bills have a good amount of under-the-radar talents.
This is also a team with a lot of new faces offensively, which means someone(s) will have to step up and help carry this team forward into this pseudo new era. With that in mind, here are three candidates that could breakout in 2024.
LB Terrel Bernard
If you ask me, Bernard has already broken out and proven what a special talent he is. He became the first player since 1991 to register six sacks, three interceptions, and three fumble recoveries in a season (Seth Joyner of the Philadelphia Eagles was the last one to do it). Despite that feat, as well as having 143 tackles. Bernard didn't earn a Pro Bowl or All-Pro selection. With a healthy Matt Milano back by his side, each of Buffalo's off-ball linebackers will feast in 2024, and that could lead to more recognition for Bernard.
WR Khalil Shakir
Shakir had a nice jump in production from year one to year two. He caught 39 passes for 611 yards and two touchdowns, and had two tremendous performances in the playoffs, as well. Buffalo will need Shakir to be the No. 2 wide receiver in terms of targets behind Keon Coleman, and one of the top three pass catchers overall with Dalton Kincaid thrown in the mix. Those numbers should jump up with more targets and more expectations in year three.
CB Christian Benford
With Tre'Davious White gone, and Rasul Douglas being 30 by the time the season starts, Benford will be looked at as the immediate future at the position for the Bills. He had a respectable year in 2023, picking off two passes and earning a tremendous grade of 82.2 from PFF. The former sixth-round pick has already done more than most late-round selections do this early in their career. If he continues to build off that, a potential Pro Bowl selection could be in his future.
