The Buffalo Bills are wasting no time when it comes to keeping one of their own in-house ahead of free agency beginning next week.

Buffalo is re-signing guard David Edwards to a two-year, $6 million deal, with more money to be made in incentives.

This comes after the Bills dealt Ryan Bates to the Chicago Bears for a fifth-round pick. Edwards has 45 career starts, and will be staying in Buffalo with a chance to be the new starter in place of Bates. At the very least, he'll be one of the top backup lineman in the NFL.

Edwards was drafted in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, winning a Super Bowl in 2021. He signed a one-year deal with the Bills ahead of the 2023 season.
