The Buffalo Bills and Brandon Beane have been very busy over the last week or so.
Buffalo released veterans Jordan Poyer, Mitch Morse, and Tre'Davious White, and also saw Von Miller willingly take a pay cut to free up cap space heading into the new league year. Now, another Bills' player has reworked his contract to free up cap space.
Tight end Dawson Knox and the Bills agreed to a reworked contract that lessens his cap hit for the 2024 season, which was set to be $14.4 million.
Knox is coming off career lows in catches, yards and touchdowns in 2023. He also missed five games with injury, and the Bills drafted tight end Dalton Kincaid in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The reworked contract keeps the long-time Bills tight end in Buffalo as a reliable safety blanket and run blocker for the offense.
