For the third consecutive time in the regular season. the Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City.

The Bills kept their playoff hopes alive with a 20-17 win, but it was the fashion in which they won that was most surprising.

Yes, Josh Allen was his usual self, making countless plays when seemingly nothing was there and Buffalo wouldn't have won without him. However, it was the final drive for the Chiefs where the defense stood out. On nearly every play, the Bills sent pressure at Patrick Mahomes. Not only that, but we saw them play press-man coverage.

Even on the long reception by Rashee Rice that got the Chiefs past mid-field, the coverage by Taron Johnson was still terrific- it was just a great throw-and-catch from Mahomes to Rice.

Even on the fourth down play where pressure wasn't sent, the Bills still got home with four when Leonard Floyd got to Mahomes and impacted his throw.

This drive in particular was such a refreshing sight. Too many times this season, McDermott and the Bills have been conservative. Whether it be in the loss to the Patriots, the Broncos, or the Eagles- all of them, in some way shape or form, were because of the defense blowing late leads. One of my keys to victory for the Bills this week was that McDermott would have to be the aggressor. And in the game's biggest moment, he was. And it paid off.

The Bills are now 7-6 going into Week 15, where they will face a Los Angeles Chargers team that may be without Justin Herbert, who is dealing with an injury to his right index finger.
