The Bills drafted Duke defensive tackle DeWayne Carter with the 94th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Carter had 18 hurries and five hits on the quarterback with the vast majority of his snaps coming while lined up over the B gap, per PFF.
Carter's grade in true pass rush sets was well above the national average, as well. Getting that type of versatility to put on the defensive line with Ed Oliver and Da'Quan Jones, someone they hope can take over for Jones when the time comes and put next to Ed Oliver, is a big get for the Bills.
While some fans would have liked to see another receiver go to Buffalo, they still have a ton of Day Three picks in which they could spend on playmakers. They take a safe pick in Carter, who can be a very nice starter in the future.
