In the second half of last week's Buffalo Bills game against the Tennessee Titans, something seemed to click with the Josh Allen-led offense. After getting off to a slow start, the Bills scored three touchdowns and two field goals in five drives in the second half.

What clicked? Offensive coordinator Joe Brady and Allen got on the same page with some designed quick passes, especially to the ever-reliable Khalil Shakir. It looked like the best, most efficient, and equally as explosive versions of the Bills offense as we have seen all year.

The Bills, and especially Shakir, carried all that momentum into Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks.

Most of Shakir's targets on Sunday were quick, short passes, until he broke it open with a deep reception of 35 yards. Shakir's 9 receptions were a career high, and his 107 receiving yards were the third time he has eclipsed 100 yards in his three-year career.

"He's as steady as they come. You know, he's been dealing with an ankle for the last couple weeks," Allen said after the game. "Every week, he seems like he's getting a little bit better and more comfortable and confident cutting. He just continues to make plays for us. And you know, he's not the flashiest player. You're never going to see him be in the end zone and do something crazy, but he's just as consistent as they come. Love the guy, and he does whatever he's asked."

Allen saying Shakir is "as steady as they come" couldn't be more accurate. Entering this week's game, Shakir led the league in reception percentage, and I'm assuming that'll be the same when this week's stats load. Shakir began the weekend having caught 27 of 28 targets, and is now up to 36 of 38.

The offense runs the best when the passing game is giving Shakir and the other options quick targets, to go along with James Cook's elite rushing game. Right now, this offense looks like they can beat you in a variety of ways, making them a tough matchup for whoever they go against. Buffalo will return home to host the Miami Dolphins for their second matchup of the season next Sunday.
