The Buffalo Bills may have gone through a lot of roster changes this offseason, but remain one of the best teams in the NFL.
Even with all of their talent, you can never have to many playmakers in today's NFL. With several quality free agents still remaining on the market, these three names should be at the top of Buffalo's list.
S Quandre Diggs
The 31 year-old was a somewhat surprising cut by the Seattle Seahawks. However, their trash could be Buffalo's treasure, as the three-time Pro Bowler would add a veteran presence to their current safety group. And, with the addition of Mike Edwards, Diggs could lean into a more rotational role rather than an every-down safety.
CB Steven Nelson
Nelson is a legitimate starting cornerback that is still somehow on the market.
The Oregon State product spent the last two seasons with the Houston Texans, intercepting a career-high four passes in 2023. The Bills are thin at the position after losing Dane Jackson to the Carolina Panthers and releasing Tre'Davious White. Nelson would be a great No. 3, or even No. 2 cornerback for the Bills. Even at age31, he can still provide great play.
S Justin Simmons
Adding Simmons to the back end of their defense could help push the Bills' defense to another level. They would have playmakers at all three levels, and at almost every position should they sign the three-time All-Pro.
Much like Diggs, Simmons would add a veteran presence to a safety room that is on the younger side. He would also add star power on top of that, though. When healthy, he is still one of the best safeties in the NFL, and he would help fill the shoes that Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde left vacant.
