The Bills have an emerging superstar on offense in running back James Cook. His outstanding season has seen him get plenty of accolades and accomplishments, but also saw Cook get inexplicably snubbed by the Pro Bowl. In the regular season finale, the Bills made sure to get Cook two big milestones that put a cherry on his breakout season.
Cook passed the 1,000 rushing yards mark for the second consecutive season, and by getting a rushing touchdown against the Patriots, Cook tied O.J. Simpson for the single-season rushing touchdowns record in Bills history with 16.
Cook continues to be an instrumental asset of the Buffalo offense. This year, there have been many factors under first-year offensive coordinator Joe Brady that has made the Buffalo offense so powerful, with their balanced attack a large part of why.
The offense can beat you in a variety of different ways. Josh Allen's arm is a potent weapon, and with his ability to distribute it to anyone on the field and a system that schemes players open, he can go anywhere he wants with the ball. The passing attack is potent, and James Cook and the ground game is powerful and capable of ripping off big plays from anywhere on the field. They can win in a shootout, and they can grind out close games with Cook and rookie running back Ray Davis.
The offensive line is opening holes for Cook while also keeping Allen clean. Allen is the least-sacked quarterback in the league. This offense is a wagon heading into the playoffs, and will hopefully provide them with a groundwork for a deep playoffs run.
