Every year, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is widely discussed among the best quarterbacks in the league. It's a constant point of conversation. He's up there with Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson as the three best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Something is missing from his resume, though. An MVP.

In the offseason, there was plenty of conversation about how the one thing holding Allen back from reaching that goal was the turnovers. Well, to start the season, Allen went seven games without an interception. Yes, he's thrown four in the last three weeks, with a couple of them coming on dropped passes, but by many accounts, he's still having an incredible season. Allen, who currently is second in the MVP odds, could add a big boost to his chances of securing his first MVP award with a big game against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs

ESPN's Ryan Clark made a good point in saying "I feel like we want to give him an MVP because we feel like he should have by now." I will die on the hill that Allen deserved to win MVP for the 2023 season, and once again, it looks as though Jackson is his biggest competition.

For Allen, if he's able to put together a monster performance against the undefeated Chiefs while Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid are out injured and Amari Cooper is, at best, limited by a wrist injury that will have him play while wearing a cast, then his worthiness for the reward will take a big boost.

What Jackson is doing in Baltimore is incredibly impressive. He's playing lights out football, and for my money, he deserves to be the favorite for the MVP award right now. Allen's attention isn't on individual accolades, but on team success, something that is going well heading into the matchup with the Chiefs.

There's a ton riding on Sunday's game. Allen will likely have to play the part of Superman in order for the Bills to come out on top.
