It's officially projection season. You know, that weird period between the draft and training camp where we are starting to fiend for football so we start predicting every little thing that could happen?

We all turn into the Dave Chappelle skit, itching our necks asking 'Y'all got any of that football?"

So while you're waiting patiently for that football, presumably watching hours of Josh Allen highlights laying on your stomach with your feet kicking in the air, you can now also take a gander at my projections for the Bills' offensive players. Enjoy.

QB Josh Allen

  • 4,278 yards
  • 32 touchdowns
  • 13 interceptions
  • 642 rushing yards
  • 11 touchdowns

Allen's numbers should look relatively similar from a season ago. His rushing yards are something I see having a slight increase, as Joe Brady leaned into Allen taking off and taking advantage of his ability to run. The Bills' receiving group is deeper than it was a year ago. And while it may not have that proven No. 1 guy, they will make up for it in the aggregate. As long as Allen is on the field, it's hard to imagine him not being his usual elite self, and the Bills will go as far as he will take them.

RB James Cook

  • 259 carries
  • 1,207 yards
  • 5 touchdowns

Cook came alive in the second half of the season, and really became more of a focal point once Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator. With a full season of Brady calling the offense, expect a slight increase in carries per game for Cook and another year landing in the top five of rushing yards.

Receiving stats

  • Dalton Kincaid: 76 catches, 641 yards, 8 touchdowns
  • Keon Coleman: 67 catches, 839 yards, 7 touchdowns
  • Khalil Shakir: 53 catches, 767 yards, 5 touchdowns
  • Curtis Samuel: 49 catches, 563 yards, 4 touchdowns
  • James Cook: 45 catches, 450 yards, 2 touchdowns
  • Dawson Knox: 40 catches, 419 yards, 4 touchdowns
  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling: 26 catches, 417 yards, 2 touchdowns
  • Mack Hollins: 14 catches, 182 yards, 0 touchdowns

Again, no one player will dominate the Bills in terms of receptions. However, there will be leaders of the pack. Keon Coleman is going to be the bread winner of the group. The team clearly loves him and wanted him throughout the draft process. He can be the underneath and intermediate No. 1 receiver to lead the room as a rookie.

Kincaid is in for a big year. Buffalo took the former Utah tight end in the first round in the 2023 NFL Draft for a reason, and he's set to build off a great rookie season. Expect a big jump in touchdowns this year, and a Pro Bowl nod for the second-year tight end.

Shakir will see an increase in his workload and production, while Samuel is a well-utilized No. 4 option.

This is an offense that will continue to build off the momentum it had in the back half of the 2023 season with a deep roster of targets and weapons for Josh Allen to distribute the ball to. Until proven otherwise, the Bills will be the favorites to win the AFC East.
