Cornerback is definitely a position that the Buffalo Bills are going to do their homework on, starting with this last week in Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine.

Florida State corner Azareye'h Thomas, who stood out during field drills at the Combine, should certainly be a name that Bills fans familiarize themselves with. He's a loose and athletic corner with sticky coverage skills and good hands. He's definitely in play for Buffalo early in the draft.

During his media availability, Thomas was asked what it was like going up against Keon Coleman and other Florida State wide receivers like Johnny Wilson. "I thank the Lord every day that he sent me, not only Keon, but Johnny, all those guys," Thomas said. "I wouldn't be here without them guys right now, pushing me each and every day, competing, coming in as a freshman, getting thrown into the fire early."

When asked if he would want to play with his former teammates, including Coleman, Thomas said "It'd be a blessing to play with any of my brothers."

Corner is going to be one of the top positions of need for the Bills this offseason. With the expected departure of Rasul Douglas and with former first-round draft pick Kaiir Elam not living up to the billing, Buffalo will need to add at least one, if not a couple, corners to the room. A fluid corner that plays with length and has plenty of ability in press-man, something we're expecting more of out of the Bills shifting into next season, Thomas is a name to watch as a top-50 prospect that could even be in play as high as 30th overall.
